Next Step
The next step in my painting career is about to begin! Tomorrow I am leaving for Uganda. I am planning on taking hundreds of photos while I am there, everything from portraits to landscapes to interiors. When I return I will use these photos to paint from. My goal is to paint at least 10 large oil paintings.
I am so fortunate to have connected with Serving His Children, for they are hosting me while I am in Uganda. My hope is to give back to this ministry through my paintings.
If anyone wants to follow me on my trip I hope to post on my instagram(emcarder) and facebook(emily eshee carder).

Refocusing my painting
I've taken some time off from painting because of pregnancy, work as a RN, then our move, but my passion for painting it as strong as ever. So, I am ready to refocus my efforts in creating beautiful paintings!

Portrait of my father
I took a not so great photo of the portrait that I painted of my dad. I thought I would post it anyway. I needed a tripod, didn't have one, and just did the best I could.
I painted the portrait a few years ago when my dad retired from his job as a municipal court judge in Mississippi.
